4th bad igniter in almost 2 years now- had several warranty replacement igniters and new power cord- they last for maybe a dozen smokes and then they stop working. this is getting old and frustrating- i replaced another high-end smoker with this PB, had my other smoker for years with no igniter issues- in the exact same location- IMPECCABLE maintenance! pit boss is really putting a bad taste in my mouth with this issue- ready to dump the pb brand and go back to rt!

Sorry to hear about those issues. I have 3 different brands and only one igniter fail since 2016.
I always vaccuum my unit between cooks. Each time I clean it, I fill the fire pot 3/4's full with fresh pellets. I do not use the prime button. Masterbuilt owner manual recommended this so I do it everything regardless of the brand.
