700 series keeps feeding pellets

My 700 series keeps feeding pellets after it is turned off. The fan constantly blows and every couple minutes feeds pellets. Doesnt shut down completely after the five minutes of turning off. Nothing shows on the display when it is turned off. Have to unplug for it to stop feeding the pellets and keeping the flame going. Any ideas?

Huh I’ve never paid that close of attention. I’ve only had mine for two weeks. But I figure that was normal to clear the auger of any “hot” pellets for safety?? Idk could be wrong.

You can send pit boss a Facebook message about your pellet grill problems. Very good customer service.

Yes the fan should run for five minutes to burn off pellets. But.mine when off keeps feeding pellets like it is in smoke mode. It doesnt shut down.
