820 burning hot

I have a new 820.
I smoked some ribs for 2 hours and then I wanted to cook at 350 and smoker kicked to hear and it’s at 465 and climbing.
what’s going on?

sounds like the auger just kept feeding pellets which could be a RTD probe issue or the controller failed. I would try a test run and follow the start up procedure to see if it was just a glitch.

I turn it off and started over. Then it worked?
I hope this does not happen every time or I have a problem with this unit .
