Hello everyone and new to Pellet Grilling!

So I have used my new 820 Pro Series twice now. I have cooked chicken and Beef Kabobs. Still trying to get the hang of it. Going to be grilling Pork Steaks tonight. So far I am liking it, but my digital and dome thermometers are showing different temps. Like 120 degrees difference. I need to get a third meter just to see which one is correct. So if I set my dial at 400, the digital read-out will about ~415, but the dome will read about 290-300. I know its going to be different but really that different?

Thanks in advance for any input.

I think the dome thermometers are useless, go by the digital read out for a more accurate reading.

Well I just put another thermometer in and read closer to the dome reading but not the same. So it appears that the digital read out is completely off. I had Lowes install the grill. I may need to take that piece apart and inspect.

I’m having the exact same issue. Brand new 820 on its first cook today. Internal temp probe was as much as 90 degrees off (higher) compared to an external pit probe connected next to it. Something is wrong with the probe or the control board I think.
