Hello all. I'm new to pettet smoking. We bought a Laredo 1000. My wife wants me to do a whole turkey breast. She just wants a touch of smoke in it. My question is how to get just a little smoke then cook it. She's looking for a time frame not to smoke to completion. Thank y'all very much

Small breast I'd try 30mimutes on the smoke setting, bigger breast I'd try one hour on smoke setting.

It's a large whole breast after an hour on smoke should I turn temp up

After letting it smoke for hour should I turn the heat up? Thank all y'all for the welcome.

Yes, after an hour or so on smoke turn up temp and cook like its in your home oven....


Id say 300-325. Id also not cook directly over fire pot. Either off to the side or on top shelf....

Used to go up there every year for bike week until I went down on my bike. Had alot of fun
