Anyone else having this issue?

My dad has the same Smoker and his doesn't do this... wondering if any of you guys are experiencing the grease pool on the top like this.

Do you clean up the grease pan often enough?
That could start a fire.
Hopefully this helps you

I have the same smoker and there is never any grease there. Is the cap open most of the way?

Grease tray is cleaned after every cook. I'm probably due for a cleaning of the inside but I feel like this has done it since new. Pitboss told me to clean more. Happens regardless of vent position. Sounds like it might be a one off problem. Thank you for the suggestions though!

Just for the record
I clean my 820 after each cook. Eliminates a lot of issues

Are you burning the same pellets, looks like these have been made of old tires.

For the most part the same pellets. The ones I used tonight were pit boss. Have run treager and some royal oak with similar results.

Is that the PBV4PS2? If so, I never had that problem. Been using mine for about a year and a half.

Just curious - is there grease inside the smoker?

I have a PB 4 for 2 yrs I have never seen that could it be excess moisture just soot from incomplete burn try opening the cap 1 or 2 turns

I haven't had that and i've been running my bg4 for a while now.
