Auger Fire

I have had two during smoking briskets. What could be the problem?

make sure you empty your burn pot after every use I make it a point every time

I clean it everytime before the smoke

Only time I had what I thought was a auger fire. Smoke started coming out hopper. Was after long cooks and I had turned the temp way down from where it was at. I hit the prime button and turned the heat up a little.

Is your smoker level? I read some where that can cause fire to move through the auger. Maybe on longer cooks ot more likely to happen. Just a thought.
