Wal-Mart has the Austin XL on clearance for $327.00 is that a good deal for my first pellet grill.

That is a good price, the regular Austin by me is 447.00 and the new onyx Austin is 497.00

Just a heads up on the Austin XL. I bought one from Wal-Mart at the beginning of July, used it quite a bit and always had a cover on it when not in use. By the end of July my screen is faded and I can't read the temps anymore. I put a warranty replacement in on the 31st and they are still out of stock and don't know when I'll actually get the replacement. Chatted with Customer Service today and it was basically "sorry, could be next week or next year.....You'll get a tracking number at some point."

With that said, when I could use it, it was great and made awesome ribs, brisket and bologna! I do like the size and how it cooks. For $327 I'd say it's worth the risk.
