I had an auger stuck so bad i had to chisel hardened sawdust from around the auger then removed the auger and cleaned the channel. After doing this all i could get on my control was a C. My grill is out of warranty so i bought an aftermarket control and heat sensor. I installed them and everything worked perfect the first time i used it. A few days later i went out and plugged it in, set it on smoke and went back in the house for a few minutes. When i came back out smoke was coming from the pellet box and a serious flame was going on in the grill. I unplugged and waited for it to cool. I took the flame cover off and there was probably 5 lbs of pellets unburned around the firepot.
What happened was when you plug it in the auger starts and will run forever. When you turn it on to smoke the fan starts along with the igniter and they will run forever or until you unplug the unit.
I would say that the new board is bad, is anybody else in agreement. I checked the wiring and that is just like the schematics.

Probably a bad board, I would return it to the vendor you bought it from and get another replacement. many of these boards are bad, not just the ones from Pit Boss. Made in China... need I say more?
