Bear Mountain Bold Pellets

I had been using 1/2 and 1/2 PB Competition and Charcoal for everything - had good flavor and not too much.

I tried the BM Bold for a few smokes, and I really couldn't taste much smokiness at all.

I'm thinking about draining them and going back.

Winn-Dixie only had the Bold and Sweet. Looked today -- same. $12 a bag. I'll try Tractor Supply now that the hurricane has left us alone.

I use bear mountain pellets on a regular basis because they have good smoke flavor and I can get them at my tractor supply. It's odd that you couldn't taste the smoke. Maybe a bad batch?
