Clean inside of cover

Does anybody clean the inside of the cover of the pit boss griddle?
And if you do, how do you clean it just like the griddle

I clean mine thoroughly after each cook

I clean everything after every cook. I've got the time. Don't want any issues to arise because of a dirty cooker!
