Clogged auger

Purchased an 850 pro pellet grill and bought a bag of pit boss competition pellets.
The pellets work great. In our old smoker we use to use Jack Daniels wood chips, loved the smoke flavor.
I bought a bag of the Jack Daniels pellets, loaded them into the hopper, after about 5 min. The pellets kept
Clogging the augar.
Is this normal with certain pellets ?

Sounds like they’re a little too long. Had a small bag once like that and I took a hammer to them then sifted through a colander
