Corncob with Pellets

I get some really good smoked meats at a place that uses corncob for smoking. I'd like to mix corncob with my pellets or alone but I'm not sure how my PitBoss tabletop will react. Does anyone have experience with corncob as an addition or replacement for pellets?

Might be easier to try with a smoke tube, stuff a whole bob of cut into pieces. then you could add pellets also if you want.

Thanks for the reply. I was not aware of smoker tubes. Pretty cool device. But ideally, I'd like to mix the dried cobb kernels with pellets in my PitBoss.

You may have issues with the cobs crumbling and creating dust and small pieces fouling the auger. If you search auger problems here you will find people have problems with pellet dust.
