Warning! Dangerous grills that should be recalled. Our Laredo 1000 spontaneous decided to start on its own today, with the storage cover on. Luckily we were home and didn’t lose our house. Can’t imagine if we had been gone. Contacted Pitboss and they said ‘yep, it happens every once and awhile’. Are you kidding me?!?!? Class action lawsuit anyone?

yep, it happens.
Hello all from SW Iowa.

Smoked some sliced pork loin the other night. Pork was low smoked 2 hr's then removed and seasoned, set the smoker for 320 to bring pork to 155.

After my PBV4ps2 finished the cool down I pulled the smoker back into the garage for the night and forgot to unplug the cord.

Went out to the garage the next morning, opened the door and was greeted by a garage full of PitBoss competition Blend pellet smoke, Smoker was back on.

restarted itself.webp

Normally I unplug it when not being used, just happened to forget it that time...
