I'm getting an ErL code on my PBV4NX smoker. This is the third time using it. It appears to me that the fan has already gone kaput. Also it seems temperature isn't going up either. Any idea on what would cause the fan to stop working so quickly. The smoker is covered with a pit boss smoker cover outside under a deck.

What temp do you get to before the code? If it does go up some then set it at 200 or 225 until it lights. You can hear the flame. If you set it at 300 or something it will erl because it is taking too long to get to temp. Also could be a bad igniter. Call PB support during the week in the morning hours.

It's not getting past ambient temperature. The smoker was set to 220. After the second attempt I let it cool off and started to clean everything up and noticed I had pellets overflowing the burn pot

I would check to see if the wiring harness between the fan & control board is secure.

If it's not that, then customer service will probably be your best friend. They will probably wonder whether to replace your controller or fan motor.
It's just weird since this is the third time using it. I could understand this more of it was after three years.

Finally had the time to reach out to customer service. They sent me a new fan and a new cover for the fan. Seems to be working like new again have had ribs cooking most of the day. Kudos to Pit Boss Customer Service.
