So there was a surprise party for my birthday yesterday. It was a surprise because my birthday was last week. That being said I did not want to get out of bed to start a butt for this afternoon. So it didn't go on in time to go low and slow. I'm running at 300 and seems to be going well. I'm curious if I will notice any difference.

Really eager to hear how this turns out. Looks really good so far.

All that looked awesome and happy Birthday mine was the 23rd as long as it pulls apart its ok by me but thats good to know if your in a pinch you can rush perfection
Oh, fantastic! Another birthday celebration! Happy belated birthday to you, too, since apparently, everyone's special gifts & special day are equally noteworthy. And of course, rushing to achieve perfection is the epitome of success. Who needs patience and careful attention to detail when you can simply slap things together and hope for the best? Absolutely brilliant!

I cook mine at 400 in my portable pb150. I can get two 10 lb pork butts on it. With the portable not having PID, it’s still smokes like crazy even at 400. I do 3 hours at 400 and then wrap and put in the oven till 205. Still super Smokey and just as moist.

Total time usually 6 hours plus 1.5 hour rest.
