getting parts

why is it so hard to get replacement parts.I called today to say my igniter wasn't working and had a problem before with it and I got it to work that time and hope it would work again.I'm 73 yrs young not in good shape but have been a repairer person all my life.When I called told the person that answered my problem. It took me about an 1 1/2 HR and taking the grill apart laying on the cold ground to have the person say it the igniter isn't working. maybe you should understand some people know what there talking about.next time I will just buy the repair part and save having to get on a cold ground to hear that the part I said was bad to start was bad
