Grill heat migrating to the attached shelf.

Has anyone come up with an answer as to how you can stop the grill heat from migrating over to the fixed shelf on the right side of the grill? The front fold down shelf doesn't have this issue nor does the pellet hopper housing. There must be some type of washer or something that would work. Anyone?

Good Question I guess you take some high temp gasket and get longer screws and place he gasket between the shelf and the grill drum.
