I’ve had my 820 for more than a few years now. Love this thing. However, it is so old the pellet bin doesn’t have the drai hole. Bought it at Cabelas.

I also have a 820 and I’m able to empty the hopper
Just a thought but you can manufacture one with a cutting wheel on a Dremel
Drill a couple of pilot holes in the plate and use self tapping screws

Can you send a pic of your mod? I thought about putting a swing door on mine similar to the vertical smoker version.

im not seeing a pellet drain. My 820 didn’t have the plug/slide in it.
