I think its fixed ( I hope) the Pitboss APP

Yes - mine took 2 tries a about 3 weeks ago after i assembled it and decided to notify me during the initial burn in. The first time it crapped out halfway through and threw up the retry button. I hit retry, and it went through. The burn in continued uninterrupted. So far, all is working well!
 
Updated the pitboss firmware / app today after having a lot of trouble (like all of us) and it seems to be working great. Anyone experiencing the same???
Mine is working great.
 
Sooo I had not updated anything since I got my grill in Oct'22. All of a sudden the app forgot my grill and say to "add" which I do and it says "connect' but I get in a loop of adding and conecting with no joy. Having said all that do I have to update the grill firmware when I download the new app? Thanks for any help.

Try this. Open app. Select "GRILLS". In the upper right hand area, you'll see an edit icon. Tap it. In the upper right hand, you'll see a delete icon. Delete your grill from the app and any other grill that might be on there. Uninstall the app. Reinstall the app and try adding the grill again. If you need to update the grill firmware, the app will prompt you. Don't give up. Keep trying.
