Igniter

I have a 5 year old Austin xl that gives me an erl code . I can replace the igniter and it comes on and runs fine for a couple of weeks, then it goes back to the erl code. I’ve put three or four igniters in. Do any of you pros have any suggestions as to what could be causing this problem??

Only thing that comes to mind is check the connections first. Check the temperature probes. Could be a controller issue

I did and it fixed it for now. Smoked wings and 12 pounds of pork butt.. thank you for the help..

Good news. I've solved many a car problems by going through the grounding system.
