My 440D2 quit working properly

My ignitor won't turn off after startup causing a fire in the fire pot that gets the temp to 500+ degrees even on the smoke setting. It cools off a bit once the auger stops cycling but fires right back up again when the auger starts. Been great for 18 months or so...

Sounds like a controller issue

That’s a RTD issue. Sounds like the thermocouple in your RTD is sticking. Call for a replacement.
