Need advice on new cast iron grate for austin xl

I just got a new austin xl 3 weeks ago. I also have a pro pb260 that I have used for over a year (no problems with that one). Problem is after the second use, the coating on the grate is flaking off onto the food. I called pit boss and talked with them about it (what a fun call that was) they told me that the chipping was not a defect, but was caused from user abuse. Well this is not my first rodeo with smokers and coated grill grates, been smoking for over 30 years. I do not use any steel on any of my grills, ever. Only clean with soft brushes if needed. Anyways my question is, I would like to replace the grate with something else, like the crosshatch styles on the better units. Anyone change the grates out and who did you purchase them from?
