[Rolling Smoke]

I have an 800 series pit boss that probably 8 years old. I just replaced the burn pot and the control board. When I plug it in, it starts up even when the dial is turned to "off" it just keeps augering pellets in and burning them. The temperature settings show up on the display but changing that to even smoke setting does not do anything. I have to unplug it to make it stop. Any Ideas appreciated.

I don't know anything about the 800 but my fist thought is that I wonder if it is in its cool down cycle. Welcome From NH

I’m gonna have to try the old control board, the display was just foggy and I had a new one as a backup. A couple of wires had different colors than the original but I switched them and had the same result.
