New Pit Boss Pro 1100 (Pellet Hopper Issue)

Hi, I just purchased my first pellet grill on 6/7/20 from Lowe’s. It was just delivered yesterday (6/20/20) already assembled. I fired it up last night and did initial burn-in. However, noticed that there was a very loud, continuous humming noise coming from the pellet hopper. Trying to find out if this is typical or not. And if not, trying to find out any suggestions.

Not sure, but I loosened up one of the screws at the bottom of the hopper and now it has disappeared. No more noise.

Normally there is a noise when the motor turns the auger. This should be a normal motor/hum noise.

It was actually metal on metal humming noise. Once I loosened up the screw on the bottom, the humming noise disappeared. Maybe Lowe’s put the screws in too tight?

I was going to say my auger never makes a humming sound or noise and how can you even hear the auger motor when that fan is motor is running. Glad it turned out it turned out to be a simple fix.
