Newbie with Temperature Issue

Hey,
I’m new to the Pit Boss family and inherited an older unit. I had to replace to controller and ordered a Stan Broil replacement on Amazon. I cannot control the temp and there is a constant flame from the burn pot. It seems the fan is starting the flame and then it continues with temps rising to over 500 and staying there even on smoke setting. Any ideas?

call customer service. Seems like the controller is not controlling. Are you shure you hooked it up right?

You should have the curved diffuser plate over the fire! You are not running it without that are you?
