It should have a name. Pit Boss Classic, Pit Boss 850, Pit Boss Copperheard Series 3, 4 or 5, Lockhart, KC Combo, etc.

Where did you purchase it? On mine the model number and info is on the back side of the hopper.

Also, on settings above 275 you won't see a lot of smoke.

On the back it says PB it was donated to us I am guessing. It to be a classic, I cook at 200 to me it seems like it's not feeding the pellets

Will it maintain temp? If you have it on 250 does it stay close to that. Also open the hopper when it is on and you should be able to hear the auger turn and see the pellets slowly moving.

You can give Pit Boss customer service a call but they are going to ask for the model number which is going to have more than just PB. It should be somewhere on the back near the serial number.

But if you are maintaining temps then the auger is working.

A pellet grill doesn't smoke like a stick burner. There is not constant plumes of smoke just every so often.

Make sure the pellet cup does not have a build up of ash that will block the igniter from firing up the pellets as they fall in. I use a wet/ dry vac after cooking (and cooled down). If you don't you can get a pile of pellets that if they ignite cause a huge fire in the unit. PB says the cub should be cleaned after each use.
