Tried the Carolina Dirt rub mix on some bacon cheeseburger onion rings for a game time snack yesterday. "Wifey likes it" was what i came away with after these rings were devoured. Thanks for the suggestions!

The part i struggled with the most was wrapping the bacon around the assembled onion/meat mix. If/when i do this again i will use less meat mix to keep the hole as large as possible. Also - consider sacrificing everything except the true center cut of the onion...as you get away from center, the curve of the onion will make this more difficult than it needs to be.
