Opinon on the new VST controller (variable smoke technology)

Is the new controller with VST (variable smoke technology) worth the extra money? Has anyone gone from a pit boss that didn't have it to one that does?

Is this the controller that does not have the smoke setting? Like on the 1150 pro v3?

It does the PID or smoke setting. The motors are also brushless.

That's interesting, I've seen many posts, and videos that show it does NOT have a smoke setting. How is this setting achieved on this controller?

I'd call customer service they would know for sure 877 303 3134 option 2.

Or take a look at the owner's manual from the Pit Boss website. It should explain almost everything you need. I think this is the one you are talking about:

The VST which is on the Pro Series Elite units gives you the ability to generate more peaks and valleys that produce more clean smoking. This helps smoke infusion into your cooks. The added value is well worth it to me.
