P Setting on my Pro 850

Hello! I have been having so much trouble adjusting my P Setting on my Pro 850. I have owned my pellet grill for about 3 months. And I can not get the Setting to anything different than P1. Please help! I press recipe and turn the dial, I try to change it, but it does not ever stay or recognize the changes. Am I doing it wrong? Is there something broken? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you and have a wonderful day!

I just continue to push the button
You’ll se it change on the screen.

Maybe I'm missing something, but there is no P setting on my 850 Pro. Only an S setting that looks like a 5. That setting runs around 180 degrees or so.

I didn't think so either because it has a PID controller. The OP mentioned the recipe button and I'd never messed with that so I don't know if there is something in there that allows you to change the P setting for a specific recipe.

Good point. I haven't messed with the recipes either.
