PB850 PSII temperature

I find with my pro series 2 it take a very long time to get to temp, 35-45 minutes to reach 250 (PID Controller). It doesn't seem to matter what the weather conditions are wind, temp etc. Any thoughts why it takes so long to get to temp, my older non PID Controller is at temp in 15 minutes or less.

I just got the same smoker from a non PID and I am noticing the same thing. I think I'm coming to be happier with that though. It's nice to know that the grill's temps are well controlled and predictable regardless of weather, and I've noticed that it makes the grill thoroughly heated up once it hits the set temp. My old grill needed time to settle in once it hit temp, otherwise the hot grill parts fought with the cooler grill parts.

It definitely takes it’s time getting there, but once it hits the desired temp my 850 holds dead on!

I found my temperature probe disconnected. May want to check yours
