I have an 820FB. For the love of all that is slow cooked, what is the screw size/thread pitch for those things? Is it some sort of national secret? Nothing at Home Depot seems to work. I don’t want the stock ones as I’m wanting to go stainless steel. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Welcome from Texas to the group!
I have the 820
Looks like the same screw that holds the bottom plate on the hopper. You take the plate off to get to the wiring harness for the controller
Hopefully this helps you 🇺🇸🇺🇸

Thanks, but I really need to know the screw specs. I tried both Home Depot and Lowe’s and they don’t seem to fit either SAE or metric. Both #8 and #6 are either too big ar too small. Like it could be a #7? M4x.7 starts but lock up. Why are all the large bolts 1/4x20 and these seem to be some sort of Chinese pseudo size?

That would be great but no one is home. Been trying for two days now and can’t get someone to pick up. No call back either. What a shame as I always found them very helpful and wonderful to work with.
Best time to call is first thing in the morning when I call

Holy Smoke! The good news, I got through and actually talked to a person. The bad news, Pit Boss/Dansons has no idea. They are at Home Depot next to the hen’s teeth and frog fur. I just wanted shiny stainless steel screws. Now, I will drill out and tap to a normal non-Chinese/Chech thread pitch and move on. I will add that the Pit Boss/Dansons crew has been extremely kind and considerate to me.

On my PB850 they are 8-32 thread size. I would recommend that you go to either a ACE, or True Value store, They carry a better assortment of nuts and bolts than either Lowe's or Home Depot.
Powder, I bought packets of both 8-32 and 6-32 and neither fit. If you micrometer tho and the bin screen screws, you will see they are very different. If those fit in your bin screen, you are very lucky. Even Pit Boss said they have no idea what size they are. Thanks. I will head over to ace though.
