Having continued problems with the ignitor on my vertical pellet smoker. Now on my 3rd one in < 18months.
My question: How far into the burn pot should the ignitor extend. I've received either no, or conflicting guidance. One person said push it in as far as it'll go. Another didn't have an opinion. The last tech I spoke with said no more than 1/8", or a pinky width. (But my pinky is 1/2" in width.. Just looking for some help for when I install my next new igniter in a few days.
Any other advice would probably be helpful as well!
