Pit Boss PBV5P2 - Intermittently Won't Turn On

Purchased a new Pit Boss PBV5P2 at Academy Sports, did the burn in seemed like everything was working fine. Tried to turn it on last night, wouldn't come on so I unplugged it and plugged it in and pressed the on button it came on.
Trying to get my wife to turn it on now while I'm at work she's unplugged it twice and pressed the on button multiple times.

1. its plugged into a functional outlet, I have a pit boss pro series vertical plugged in and it's working, so its not the power source.
2. i've noticed the power button does seem to be hard to press.

Have had this less than a week, seems strange that i can't just plug it in and hit the on button. The pro series i have stays plugged in and when i need to use it i just turn it on.

I've got two other pit boss pellet smokers and no issues.

Congratulations on your new purchase
I would check the connections on the wiring. I’ve seen this more than once where the people they have putting them together fly through putting them together and don’t check the connections or test it

I unplug everything and close main gas valve to anything outside.

I actually had the opposite problem where I couldn't turn it off. Always had to use the app. Customer Service sent me out a new controller and problem solved. Give them a shot.
