I am not following what you are asking. Can you be more specific on the issue?

Maybe the auger never stops? Of that's the case and it is brand new it is probably wired wrong. As for P setting just leave it on 4.

It is a Pit Boss Classic so I have not seen that issue with that model...but nothing surprises me with PB grills.
