I bought my smoker about 14 months ago. 2 weeks ago it started shocking us randomly and today while slow cooking ribs it just went completely out. Love the smoker but a bit pricey to replace every 14 months. Anyone else having the shocking and dying issues? PS I contacted customer service-no response.

Check the power cord wiring that goes into the box and make sure there a wire did not get exposed from months of use touching any metal.

I would also call customer service. I think their warranty was increased to 5 years. Call them and ask them about the shocking.
