How do you handle your wives when it comes to smoking...

Her...smoke a turkey for thanksgiving
weeks later
Her...you cant smoke a turkey on thanks giving what if you f it up you need to practice first.
today
her...i dont want a turkey on thanksgiving we always have too many left overs smoke a brisket instead.

They way I look at it you got a good woman if she wants a brisket on Thanksgiving. Doesn't matter how many times it took her to get to that conclusion..........lol

35 years ago I introduced my wife to my traditional apple jack smoked turkey basted with picnic ham basting for thanksgiving. A ham cooked over a turkey on a bullet smoker always took 12+ hours.
2nd year I got the I think you and my daddy were done before the turkey was. 3rd year I said we're gonna do a brisket! Oh! Heck no you ain't. Not with both our families showing up. Ya'lls brisket done temp is always drunk. With a long sleep hold and a hangover!
I'm cookin a turkey in the oven.
