Question?? Temp spike

Three hours into a cook at 225 my temp spikes at 317 whats up with that anyone have an idea?? Classic 700 thats is the first time its been used today

What probably happened was at some point the temp got too low and it over compensated and fed too many pellets trying to get back to temp. Happens on mine from time to time but it usually doesn’t stay high for long. This happens on my grill more than my vertical. I trust the vertical more and the temp spikes are more frequent on my grill.
