I really liked this unit and used it atleast once a week for close to a year. The PB customer service team has been helpful and courteous. I had trouble with the unit so I called in and we trouble shot my smoker and found that the fan unit needed to be replaced. A fan unit was ordered and here SIX MONTHS later I continue to be told we have them on order and will send one to you as soon as we receive them. What good is a 5 year warranty if they can not provide parts for one of their newer models. FUSTRATED PB FAN.

I would call them daily and possibly do a better business bureau complaint. I had a problem with a microwave panel from Best Buy. Runaround on delivery delays. Filed a claim and had it in a week. A VP from Best Buy called me twice to make it right.
Thanks for your response I appreciate hearing your opinion. I planned to call BBB on Monday to file a complaint. I'm not one to normally complain but this situation is ridiculous and frustrating.

Thank You.

I've been waiting on a fan for a few months now. I'm fortunate that my issue was melted/shorted wires and could repair them while waiting.

Seems like a fan should be an easy item to stock for spares.

If you remove the fan there should be a tag in the center with maker, model and the like. Apply a little Google Foo and you can cross it to a fan from digikey.com , most likely for cheap. I have to do that all the time in my work.
Thank You for sharing this information with me and moving forward I will keep that in mind. The funny thing is I filed a complaint with the Arizona BBB and a miracle happened. I received a call from Pit Boss and they located the fan I need and it was shipped out to me on Friday. I called and worked for close to six months to resolve this issue. I brought The BBB in to the equation and two business days later the problem was resolved and the part was on its way - GO FIGURE! I thank you all for responding to my post.

I agree with you and I was told on Thursday by someone in the corporate office that PB should receive a full order of the fans in mid February. Thanks and have a great day.

There's no readily identifying information on the fan. Just guessing it's a PWM 12VDC with speed feedback. Not a typical one.

The info is normally in the center of the other side of the fan. I would agree PWM feeding it although speed feedback is much more rare in these than thermal overload feedback.

Just as example

I'm glad you got what you needed from PB.
