Removing door

Just unboxed my smoker to assemble it. the first step is to remove the door. I can't get it off the hinges! I don't want to bend them either. Any suggestions? Tap hinge with hard plastic and hammer maybe? So frustrated.

I’d use something soft like a 1x2 or a rubber mallet
