Rust on pb1100

I've used my pitboss 1100 pro maybe a dozen times and the back side by the burner is already rusted pretty bad. Is this normal ?

When did you buy your PB 1100? Do you have 3 porcelain grates or 2 porcelain grates? The reason I am asking I know 2 others who had rust as well, but they had the 3 grates as Pitt Boss changed the PB 1100 to 2 grates.

It may not be nothing I was curious as I have used my so many times I do not have rust and I have the 2 grates,

I have the 3 grate 1100. I attached a picture to show where its rusted. Ive had the frill since the middle of April

Mine did the same thing on the front (PB340). I sanded that area down then applied high heat paint. No problems since.

I would have thought that paying $650 for a grill, it would last at least a year before rusting...

that is normal for that year of that grill and not sure why the 3 grate is causing that hot spot than the 2 grate version.

I have this same problem I have had my grill for a year and there is severe rusting on the front. I have the 3 grates all of which have cracked. Disappointed in Pitboss grill.
