Set to 350, goes to 500 and keeps climbing

This isn't going to be much of a smoker if it is going to get as hot as the Sun's surface.

It is as if the thing is ignoring the temperature setting and just getting hotter and hotter and hotter, until it spontaneously combusts the house.

Anyone else had this problem?

Ah, I think I figured it out!! I think it is the SmokeIT app. When you fire it up, I think it gets into a tug-of-war over the set temperature with the device itself, and the conflict between the two somehow causes the temperature to climb and climb and climb.

I've uninstalled that app. Probably that app was someone's intern project.

No. I do now. It is working fine now.
