I just setup my PBV4PS2 a pro series vertical pellet smoker.

I am doing the initial burn off. I have the top vent open.

.
I am noticing smoke from around the side and back joints... Is this normal? There is also a nice gap in the door near the top.

The only place I’ve had smoke leakage is the door. I got a new gasket and then came up with a way to jimmy the latch to make it close more snugly . That took care of that.
Your other leaks? Not so sure about that being normal.

I would seriously think of not using the smoker in that area with you gas meter / gas regulator directly behind, leaks happen and diaphragms on regulators crack and leak gas out of the vent.
I would call customer service with pics that you took and see what remedy they have.
Those receptacles look closer than 3 feet by many building codes also.

I’ve had 3 so far. All had odd issues and two had to be returned. For my third one, I bought a high temp gasket and RTV from Amazon to seal around the door. The cabinet no longer leaks anywhere.

I've had mine since September. There were some wisps of smoke from the door -- I don't see them anymore -- I was waiting for the smoker to settle in first with the expansion and contraction over the course of several smokes. I have a roll of gasket for the door if I need it.

wisps of smoke from cracks here and there, especially during the first few uses, are normal. It's not a completely airtight chamber. The door gap is a bigger issue. The gasket should seal pretty well the entire door perimeter. That gap warrants sending a pic to Pit Boss, like others have recommended. Is there gasket in that area?

I have an update on my smoker and leaks. During most of yesterday’s smoke there was just a bit of seepage from the door seal.
But when I cranked the heat up to crisp the chicken after a while I observed smoke also pouring out from the seam between the smoke chamber and the hopper. Also smoke was coming out from beneath via the grease drain. And around the door.
My theory: as the machine was cranking up heat from 220 to 325 the fan was generating a lot of airflow and the smoke found places to sneak out.
Im thinking no big deal, it’s just what it is.

My door was leaking pretty bad when I first got mine, I just got a smoker gasket and added it. It’s seals way better but the door is a pain to close with one hand.

I thought of this post while I was doing a long smoke last night into today and I didn't see any leakage on my smoker. Smoke was pouring out the chimney like it's supposed to do.
