I can't seem to find the customer service phone number to try to fix this... I am new to the forum, would love some help with this problem

How old is your Pit Boss? If it is new there is a possibility of wires being crossed. I am sure others who have had this issue will chime in.

My smoker is about 3 years old and used often. I have had very few problems with the smoker before now.

You might be covered under the 5 year warranty but I think they started that after you bought yours. Either way, call them and explain to them what is going on. Most of the time you get someone who will help, sometimes you get someone who isn't quite as helpful.
