Hey everyone, it's that time of year when I going to haul my pitboss pro series back up the back yard hill and bring it inside the detached garage. Given the weight of the smoker this is actually a big PITA.

So my question is this (which I'm sure has been discussed before), can I leave my smoker outside through the winter? It has a weather proof cover but it is not under a roof or overhang? I'm in south eastern PA so we get some snow and cold temps.

Thoughts?

I'm in South Carolina, my equipment is out doors most of the time, well covered with pellet hopper and auger vacuumed out.
Ya gotta watch out not to let all the salts from rubs accumulate and / or Ash. Corrosion sets in if equipment gets wet and next thing is corrosion working from the inside outwards. Circuit boards don't take to well with moisture either.
Garage is a good idea!

I'm in NH, my 1600 pro is outside during the cold weather and snow all winter long. I have it covered with only a pitboss cover and never have had any issues.

I leave mine out covered up with no issues

Im in the southeast corner of the mitten Michigan and keep mine out back on a covered porch coer up with the pit boss cover with no issues

I defer to Cowboy and others on this as I am a Pit Boss rookie. I've only had my PB for 6 months.
