Temp problems

My PB 850 Pro Series. Won’t maintain temp. I cleaned everything excluding the temp probe

Didn’t have this issue when I first got it

Today I tried to bring temp to 450 but never got higher than 386 afte 90 mins then dropped temp to 220 and temp keeps dropping

At the moment I have grill set to 220. It up and down from 205 to 215. External digital probe says 250

Any ideas ?

Clean the temperature sensor after each cook and also the grill.
It’ll stop temperature swings and issues

I have done that I clean everything after any smoke lasting 8 hours or longer

What outside temperatures and wind chill are you experiencing currently? I’ve found that below 40 or so especially if there’s and breeze my pro series 1100 will run 20-30 deg below the set temperature. It’s what the non PID smokers do because they run on a simple timed system that can’t compensate for lower temperatures. I got a thermal blanket for mine to solve the problem.

I expect temp issues below 40 or in windy conditions. The first time I noticed the problem it was in the 70s. Today was it was 48 no wind
