I have the 820D
How often do you clean your grill?
How are you checking the temperature on each side?
I clean mine after each cook including the temperature sensor.

Left side and center of the cooking area are within 2 to 5 degrees of set temp. Right side if grilling area is 15 to 20 degrees less

You’re ok then. Left side is always the hottest
Right side is always cooler
