I bought the Pro 1100 combo grill from Lowes. The controller does not go in 10 degree increments below 300 degrees.
The Pro 1150 controller looks the same as the 1100 controller, except it has 4 probe ports vs. 2 on the 1100. The Pro 1150 controller does the 10 degree increments. I know it will fit in the same opening.
I’m just wondering if the wiring is the same. Also, the Pro 1150 has a bigger barrel than the Pro 1100, but I don’t know if that matters.

Can someone reply that is familiar with these controllers? Pit Boss support is useless.

Support should know
You probably spoke to someone unfamiliar with your situation
Hopefully this helps you 🇺🇸🇺🇸

I would think they would know, but no dice. There are no solutions provided by Pit Boss. I asked about the difference between the 1100 controller and the 1150 controller, being they looked exactly the same with the exception of the 4 vs. 2 probe ports. The woman continually stated, they're not interchangeable. One is for the 1100 and the other is for the 1150. Beyond that broken record response, they would not offer anything else to assist in fixing the issue.

I got the 1150 controller and installed it on my 1100 combo grill. It works like a charm! I now have the 10 degree increments and 4 probe ports now. I had to add it to the Pit Boss app as an 1150 instead of the 1100 combo, to expose all 4 ports. It’s been on for over an hour now and maintaining temps. Probe 3 is left side of grates, probe 4 is right side of grate. A success!

Did it fit directly or did you have to cut any metal? Do you have pictures of your set up? Thanks
They look identical, except for 2 additional probe ports. Exact same fit. Wiring and all are exactly the same.

Looks like your grill came wilth the PID controller. I have the 1100 Pro Series that came with the non-PID control so that probably won’t work with mine.

I think Pit Boss sells a PID controller upgrade for non-PID grills. What does your controller look like? Does it look like mine?

It’s this one. The controller is not as tall as yours.
Yeah, that’s a different one. Go to the Pit boss site and look under Shop, Accessories, Upgrade. They sell upgrade PID controllers there. $149. You can also call Pit Boss and see what they say. But, I don’t hold my breath on their support. They’re the ones that said an 1150 pro controller won’t work with my grill. Well, it does!
