I don't know if this is supposed to be a tech support forum or not, but here goes:
It used to work great. But the last few times I've used it I've had to reconnect the wireless and the last time I used it (yesterday cooking for Christmas dinner) the wireless simply wouldn't connect. Fast Flashing or Slow Flashing, neither one would allow the app to discover the device. I get the flashing icons on the display. When in Slow Flashing, I see and connect to the SSID from the device so the phone can connect to it, but it never sees the device.
I would factory reset the device if there was a way to do so, but I don't see that anywhere.
Some great features about the IBBQ-4T that I love:
1. WIFI (not bluetooth)
2. 4 probes
3. Magnetic base - it seriously STICKS to my pellet hopper.
4. Mobile - It's not married to my smoker, I can use it anywhere.
5. Rechargeable - I don't need a stock of AAA or AA batteries to use it.
I REALLY liked that it was Wifi and I could monitor temp from anywhere, which allowed for instance, for a quick trip to Target in the middle of a cook.
