Alot of ash build up, is that normal?

I'll get the measurements and post today. I basically used the rounded support tab for the flame broiler on the right side and made a card board template. I used that to cut out the piece from a square heavy duty baking sheet.

Attached is the cardboard template I used with measurements. Also I attached a pic of the baking sheet pan I used and the finished product. I'm not a draftsman by any stretch of the imagination...! but I hope this helps. I used a angle cutter and grinder for the finished product. Easy...
